STATE LEVEL CUSTOMIZATION
The above files are identical to the Tax Form Defaults described in the Extranet document, "TY 2011 Suggested TaxWise Desktop Defaults," with the following exceptions. The exceptions require entry at the state level. Make the following state level customizations to these defaults as they apply:

Main Information Sheet
	Mailing Address and Telephone Numbers
If you prepare state returns and your state program picks up the Evening Telephone Number instead of the Daytime Number, MakeRed the Evening Telephone Number.

	State Information
If you dont prepare state returns, check the box next to If you are not preparing a state return

If you prepare state returns and have installed your state software from TaxWise, enter the two letter state abbreviation in the Full year resident box.

	Self-Select and Practitioner PIN(s)
Enter your standard value for the Taxpayers PIN or leave the field blank and red.
Enter your standard value for the Spouses PIN or leave the field blank

Schedule A
Line 8, Other taxes, type VEHICLE LICENSE FEE, PERSONAL PROPERTY, etc., as appropriate. This will turn the amount field red when saved.

Sales Tax Worksheet
Enter your state abbreviation on line 1
Answer the remaining questions as they apply to the preponderance of taxpayers in your state or district. MakeRed those fields that will need to be verified or entered for each return based on the taxpayers residence
If the tax rate varies from site to site, you may want to further customize the Sales Tax Worksheet for each specific TaxWise site. In that case, return to this worksheet after the site users are assigned to a User Group that permits them to edit their own Tax Form Defaults. Then enter the answers and values that are most appropriate for taxpayers being served at that site.
